Mother’s Day All Year Long
Adding little humans to your life is HARD. Yes they are all the amazing balls of wonderfulness that the world says they are, but they are also a lot of work. As an at home mom, integrating the ever changing needs of a new addition into needs of your home can be a challenge. That challenge only intensifies if you have to work as well.
Here are some ways you can make a difference in your favorite Mom's life all through out the year!
Schedule her some HER time.
Most mom's struggle with self-care, so making time weekly to take the kids so mom can just be herself is a great way to say "I love you!" I don't recommend sending her to the spa or salon. Don't force her to do the thing that you want her to do, because she may just want to lay in bed and read a book. Self-care is not necessarily a manicure and pedicure, it's TIME to care for oneself in the way that one needs at that moment.
Help minimize the daily decisions she has to make.
Ever heard of decision fatigue? It happens when your mind has to make to many detailed decisions. Over time the quality of the decisions you make worsens due to mental fatigue. So how can you help? Take some of the decisions off of Mom! This may mean already having a place in mind when you ask her "What's for dinner?" or it could be keeping your space free of clutter so she doesn't have to decide what things of yours you may get mad about if she throws them out! Lol. Also, it doesn't hurt to ASK HER where she may need help.
Dates Matter!
Whether it's a night out with your significant other or a girls lunch, Moms need to go out and feel like women! A couple of times a month, plan a few hours of grown up time. Catch a movie, brunch, quality time at a park or nice restaurant, throw in a mini photo shoot cause she looks good!
Sometimes spoiling mom is just as easy as giving her time.
Time to self improve.
Time to self care.
Time to just be herself.
Happy Mother's Day!
